Best Opening Moves
Start clean. Stay structured. The opening decides whether you get control or chaos.
Rule #1: pick a corner immediately
Decide on your corner in the first few moves and begin steering your largest tile there. Switching corners later usually breaks your board.
Build a base row (or column) you protect
In the opening, aim to build one stable line that stays ordered. That line becomes your “anchor” that you avoid disturbing.
Avoid the two “panic” directions early
If your main pattern is left + down, avoid up + right as long as possible. Early panic moves create scattered tiles that are hard to recombine.
